Cold Applied Permanent Pothole Repair
REphalt is a one visit, instant, permanent repair material ideal for use on motorways, roads, drives and airport runways etc. REphalt is solvent free and non hazardous therefore avoiding safety concerns. It is produced from reneweable resources and can be used in all weather conditions, even heavy rain.
REphalt is extremely durable and replicates hot laid material performance. Application is quick and simple, see below for full application instructions. Rapid setting ensures roads can be re-opened to traffic immediately. Available in 3mm, 6mm and 10mm aggregate size in 25kg tubs. 6mm also in 14kg bags for ease of use.
REphalt permanent pothole repair differs from other “cold lay” remedies in that it’s performance in situ is comparable to hot bituminous repairs in terms of its stability and cohesion. Marshall Load Value of 15.8kn @25°C.

Application
- Sweep out all loose material and standing water.
- When applying on concrete or in the case of thin layers and/or when there are special requirements regarding layer and edge adhesiveness, treat the base layer and edges with REphalt Primer. Where the surface is in doubt always use REphalt Primer.
- Apply REphalt with shovel or trowel then level.
- Sprinkle with water (watering can is ideal) approx. 1litre / 25kg REphalt, ensure all material is treated by water to begin the curing reation
- Compact to smooth finish (slightly proud) with hand-tamper, vibrating plate, or hand-roller. Deeper potholes should be filled with the large grade REphalt compacted, then filled with a smaller grade REphalt on top.
- Well compacted REphalt may be trafficked immediately. Final setting may take up to 1 hr, longer in cold weather. In icy conditions, all ice must be removed from the area to be treated.
- All tools may be cleaned with light oil eg. Kerosene, White Spirit
