Please Note: application of Flexiline is not advisable onto new asphalt until the surface has settled for at least 6-8 weeks. Where the surface is in doubt we suggest that Tack Coat is applied and a test patch is carried out before completion of the entire job. Please note: Tack Coat should be applied to the following surfaces before applying Flexiline, concrete or polished asphalt, previously dirty surfaces which have been thoroughly swept. Tack coat, gas torches and glass beads also available on request.
Application
Flexiline application has been designed to be as quick and easy as possible. Permanent markings can be obtained by one person and a gas torch.
Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or debris. Warm the road surface over the area to be laid. Layout Flexiline in the desired position, hold nozzle of blow torch 10-12 inches above the centre of the marking at one end. With a side to side motion, heat the material until it begins to soften and flow into the surface. Retain the distance of the flame from the marking to ensure that it does not scorch and continue heating. For initial retro-reflectivity, glass beads can be applied to the line during heating.
